About Dr. Alexander Rockwell
Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Dr. Alex Rockwell, immigrated to the United States with his parents when he was 12 years old. By age 15, already working as an assistant in his mother’s dental practice, Dr. Rockwell knew that he wanted to follow in her footsteps. Today, he and his wife Dr. Dawn Rockwell, are proud to provide comprehensive dental care to patients in Middletown and Hamilton, New Jersey, at Rockwell Dentistry. Doctors Alex and Dawn are looking forward to having their twin children Eric and Natasha, who are in Dental School now, to join them.
Dr. Alex Rockwell attended Brooklyn College in New York City and then earned his doctorate in dental medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. After dental school, Dr. Rockwell spent the following years studying and gaining experience in Oral Surgery, and Endodontics. He also pursued advanced training in Periodontics, Implantology, and Acute Care.
Dr. Alex Rockwell, in addition to private practice, teaches at Temple University School of Dentistry passing on his knowledge to the dental students. As an attending doctor at Monmouth Medical Center’s dental clinic in Long Branch, New Jersey, Dr. Rockwell also provided training and taught clinical dentistry to the residents in the hospital’s dental program. Today, he regularly participates in advanced courses, seminars, and study groups that address unique areas of dental care. He wants to ensure that every patient in his practice encounters a highly skilled, proficient dental professional at the top of his game when it comes to providing state-of-the-art dental care.
Dr. Alex Rockwell’s expertise and experience allowed him the honor of being selected as one of the leaders in the dental field as an author of “Consequences of missing teeth?”in “Smile – Creating Healthy and Beautiful Smiles With Cosmetic Dentistry.”
Dr. Rockwell maintains affiliations in several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of the office Dr. Rockwell enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Dawn, and their twin children, Eric and Natasha, who are currently in Dental School studying to follow in their parents footsteps. Dr. Rockwell also enjoys playing and coaching hockey with Eric, skiing, golf and auto racing.
Dr. Dawn Rockwell
Dr. Dawn Rockwell received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a General Practice Residency at Jersey Shore Medical Center. This 1 year prestigious program emphasized complex restorative procedures. Dr. Dawn is strongly focused in providing comprehensive dentistry in a gentle, caring and encouraging environment. She believes oral health can directly influence the way you look and feel emotionally and physically. She takes into account patients general health, desires and values to provide the most appropriate and individualized treatment plans.
A self-proclaimed “Jersey Girl,” Dr. Dawn enjoys spending time with her extended family at the shore, yoga, and educating herself about health and wellness. She is also an avid animal lover, and she loves playing and taking care of her family dog, Bella.
Dr. Dawn’s late dog, Fergie, has passed away recently. Dr. Dawn always made sure Fergie had the prettiest teeth at the dog park. Check out the video of Dr. Dawn cleaning Fergie’s teeth!
Dr. Natasha Rockwell
Dr. Natasha Rockwell grew up in Monmouth County, NJ with her twin brother , Eric and parents, Drs. Rockwell. With an interest of the intersection of art and medicine, that dentistry provides, she followed in her parent’s footsteps. Dr. Natasha attended both undergraduate and pre-doctoral education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Temple University. As an undergraduate, Dr. Natasha was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, a merit based full-tuition award and accepted into the Honors College where she majored earned her BS in Biology. After 4 years of undergrad, Philly felt like home, and she decided to stay to complete 4 more years for her dental education at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Natasha was involved in both community and social based organizations, where she sat on several executive boards throughout her 8 academic years. Some highlights of Dr. Natasha’s experiences were her involvement with the Women in Dentistry Club and executive board position with the American Student Dental Association chapter, as well as being nominated as a spokesperson to unveil the program’s newest AI-assisted simulation lab on local news. Above all, Dr. Natasha holds the great privilege and responsibility of providing excellent clinical care to the greater community of Philadelphia most special during this chapter of her life. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was highly regarded for both her excellent clinical skill and exceptional bedside manner.
Dr. Natasha believes in personalization of dental care, and does not take a “one size fits all” approach to treatment. She believes in empowering her patients to become educated and informed about their dental decisions and brings a thoughtful and thorough approach to all aspects of her patient’s care.
Dr. Natasha is now living in Jersey City, NJ even though she will always have a soft place in her heart for Philadelphia. In her spare time, you will find her exploring new coffee shops and living an active lifestyle- practicing various styles of yoga and fitness, and skiing in the winter. Dr. Natasha was formerly a competitive figure skater and has most recently became 200 Hour certified Yoga Instructor.
Dr. Natasha is passionate about health and being an advocate for all aspects of women’s health and wellbeing.
